Fall 2023
Hi again, CBA Blog fans!
It’s me, Boomer, your favorite old shop dog with the blog. Well, here we are. Jack and now Ben have officially packed up and headed off to college, leaving me behind with the humans. Chad and Liz are now full-blown empty nesters, which apparently means even more time for pressing shirts, stitching logos, and talking to me like I answer back. I don’t. I’m busy guarding the thread bins and waiting for someone to drop some food.
This summer, we had Alexa join the team, our first college kid with fast hands and a strong work ethic. Alyssa and Liv stuck around in between field hockey practice and vacation plans. They come and go, but they get the job done. I mostly supervise with my eyes closed.
The job list keeps growing. Diplomat Demolition out of West Chester joined the CBA family thanks to one of Jack’s hockey buddies. We’ve been cranking out neon hoodies like it’s our job. I guess it is.
We also started working with the Chubby family of businesses, including Caffeination Station and the Chubby Uniform food trucks. I haven’t gotten a taste test yet, but I’m holding out hope.
Sports have kept us busy too. We suited up Ville Ice Hockey practice jerseys and player packages, Boiling Springs Midget Football, and of course, PHS Field Hockey. Makes sense, since most of our employees are field hockey players. We also added the Hershey Cubs USPHL Hockey team, which plays right in the old Bears arena run by the Boudreau family.
Other additions include PHS Boys Soccer, Hershey Figure Skating, and our second LVC group, LVC Exercise Science. I’ve seen more tshirt and hoodies than chew toys lately.
This fall we were a hole sponsor for a field hockey tournament, and CBA even pressed custom golf towels for the event. I was not invited to the course, something about no dogs on greens. Probably for the best.
Well, with the boys off at school and the leaves starting to fall, it’s just me holding down the basement. The machines are humming, the boxes are piling up, and the ping pong table is still full of hoodies.
Until next time, I’ll be curled up near the embroidery machine pretending not to listen to Chad’s terrible talk radio.
Catch you on the next sniff,
Boomer 🐾
